About

What this site is

Fix Your Sleep Disorder publishes free sleep tools and plainly-written answers about sleep problems.

Most sleep content online is written to rank, not to be used. You search something specific — am I actually sleep deprived, or just tired? — and get a 2,000-word article that restates your question, lists eight causes, and tells you to see a doctor. We think the useful version of that is usually a tool that takes your actual numbers and gives you an actual answer.

So the centre of this site is the tools:

The written articles exist to explain what the tools tell you, and to answer the specific questions people actually search for.

Who makes it

Content is produced by the Fix Your Sleep Disorder editorial team.

We are not doctors, and we do not employ any. Nobody here holds a medical qualification, and we would rather say that plainly than imply otherwise. What we do is read the primary sources — NIH, NHLBI, the CDC, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and peer-reviewed sleep research — and report what they say, with a link so you can check us.

If a claim on this site isn’t backed by a source we’ve linked, treat it as an error and tell us.

What this site is not

It is not a diagnosis, and it is not medical advice. Our tools do not and cannot tell you whether you have a sleep disorder — only a qualified clinician can do that, usually with information no website has access to. See our medical disclaimer for the full version.

If you are having thoughts of harming yourself, or you have symptoms that feel like an emergency, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line now rather than reading a website.

How the content is made

We use AI as part of our writing process, and we think you should know that. There’s a full explanation on how we make our content, including what the machines do, what they don’t, and what checks run before anything is published.
